Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I want to share 3 upcoming things that we want to invite you to help partner with us. We desperately need your prayers and hope that you’ll also pray about giving financially. We have been so blessed by everyone, especially those that continually give love offerings above and beyond their tithes to their local communities of faith. We are eternally grateful. And we need your help again. The job market is slow for both of us and it doesn’t look like God is opening any doors there yet, but he continues to provide the manna we need daily and it is mostly because of people like you. There are 3 things that are crucial to our focus this summer, and I trust that sharing them with you and seeking your help is God’s will, and a way for you to personally invest in the Kingdom of God.

1) Mission Cologne: We have been invited to lead a short-term mission trip this summer to Cologne, Germany. The dates we have set for that are August 6-14th. We will be working with some good friends and missionaries though the Greater Europe Mission. We will be doing some relational evangelism events to help them identify people who are open to the good news, and possibly some discipleship. You can help us by praying and making a contribution to help us get there. Our whole family is planning on going, and yes a 6 and 7 year old can be on mission too. We should have enough money to cover our expenses there, but need help raising funds for airfare. I am praying that God will provide $ 5,500 for this endeavor. You can mail contributions to us via:

2)Footprints NICU Ministry: http://nicufootprints.org. Jess is working with this organization (based in Alabama) towards starting a chapter here in Chicagoland. Please pray for this endeavor, as it is something God laid on our hearts about 4 years ago, and now it looks like we are close to seeing it materialize into something. The main benefit of opening up a chapter through Footprints, as opposed to starting our own from scratch, is that financially it is a better situation for us. However, we ask that you pray for us, especially Jess, and if you feel that this is something you might want to contribute to, please feel free to do so.

3)Kids Clubs: our goal is to do 2 kids clubs this summer, one in our neighborhood and the other in a housing project called Rand Gove Village. Please pray for First Baptist Church (Montgomery, AL) and Highland Community Church (Wausau, WI) as they team up with us and help us start and fund these. Also pray about your church or ministry getting involved in short-term projects here that would open up doors for more of this kind of ministry to happen.
